Denitsa, the founder of The Communication Clinic, is a seasoned speech-language pathologist with years of experience helping children thrive. She has a Masters of Speech-Language Pathology with special emphasis on childhood language disorders, and has since gone on to complete dozens of courses and workshops to sharpen her practice. Her clinical practice is inspired by the Greenspan Floortime Approach and Social Thinking.

In her practice, she has worked with preschool and school-aged children with a wide range of communication difficulties: speech (articulation, phonology, motor speech/childhood apraxia), language learning, social communication, and fluency (stuttering). She also has extensive experience with children and young adults with ASD (autism spectrum disorders), and strives to create a stimulating atmosphere that is conducive to learning in her therapy sessions. Additionally, she is interested in AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) for nonverbal or minimally verbal children, and using technology in her sessions.

Denitsa is bilingual and provides services in English and Bulgarian. She is a registered member of the CASLPO (College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario), SAC (Speech-Language and Audiology Canada), and the OSLA (Ontario Speech and Language Association).

Fernanda Lara Peralta is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). She obtained her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University.

Fernanda’s mission is to help children and youth participate in meaningful activities while valuing integrity, family-centered care, and compassion. She has expertise providing services to children, youth, and adults in various settings, including hospitals and in the community. Fernanda is dedicated to helping your child with motor skills, sensory processing needs, handwriting, self-care skills, self-regulation, fracture and neurological rehabilitation, and mental health management to facilitate engagement at home and at school.

Fernanda has continued to develop her clinical skills through additional training in Handwriting Without Tears, sensory-based interventions for children with autism, concussion management, and cognitive behavioural therapy. She has also gained expertise through the certification program in childhood mental health fundamentals offered by the Institute of Child Psychology. Madeleine is a Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for working with preschool and school age children with communication difficulties. She provides services in the areas of speech production, stuttering, receptive and expressive language and social communication difficulties (including autism spectrum disorder).

Madeleine is a member in good standing with Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She holds a Bachelor degree from McGill University in Music Performance and Psychology and a Master of Health Science from the University of Ottawa.

Ellysa Vardy, M.Sc., is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologist of Ontario (CASLPO). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Language Sciences from Brock University and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from University College London, in the United Kingdom. She also has a certificate in Francophone practice for Speech-Language Pathologists.

Ellysa has has experience working with preschool and school age children in the areas of language delay, articulation, motor speech, pragmatics (social skills), fluency (stuttering), developmental and cognitive delays, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). She believes in the importance of including families in the therapy process and tried to ensure therapy is fun and motivating for the child!

Winnie is registered Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children of all ages in reaching their full potential. She graduated from the University of Toronto Occupational Therapy program and completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McGill University.

Winnie has provided assessment and therapy to children and youth in various settings including the home, preschool, school, and clinic. She has addressed difficulties in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, and self-regulation.

Winnie strives to provide child-centred therapy that will promote engagement and participation in the home, school, and community. She continues to develop her clinical expertise with additional training including Handwriting without Tears and Introduction to Floortime Approach.
